What do Argentinians sing at the World Cup 2022?

'Muchachos, ahora nos volvimos a ilusionar' (Guys! We are all excited again!)

Football unites Argentinians, no matter their political views, social background, religion, or location.

During each match, and specially during the World Cup, we, Argentinians were supporting our squad by singing with passion, either at the stadium, in a pub, club or from our own homes in front of the telly.

This year, at Qatar 2022, one special song became a big hit.

'Muchachos, ahora nos volvimos a ilusionar' song by La Mosca is now popular around the world.

Since no translation into English is available online yet, here it's my transcreated version of the lyrics of this cheering anthem for Argentina 2022:

Guys! We are all excited again!

I was born in Argentina,

land of Diego and Lionel

of the young boys of Malvinas

whom I will never forget.

I can't explain this to you

because you won't understand

the finals that we lost

how many years I cried about those.

But that's over,

because at the Maracana

the final with the Brazilians

was won again by us, (their Dad).

Guys, we are all excited again!

I want to win the third one,

I want to be World Champion.

And we can see Diego

in heaven with his dad and mum

cheering on Lionel.

Let's be champions one more time!

Let's be champions one more time!
